    Monday, 23 January 2017    7:45 pm - 9:00 pm

There will be a special open meeting of Climate Action Brookline (CAB) on January 23, 2017, starting at 7:45PM in Room 111 of Town Hall (1st Floor). This CAB meeting will follow the Selectmen’s Climate Action Committee meeting that starts at 6PM and ends at 7:30PM in the same room.

The special CAB meeting is a follow-up to the regular monthly CAB meeting that took place on January 9, 2017, which featured a roundtable discussion to consider a program agenda for CAB in 2017 that would serve the new political circumstances and the desired level of engagement and action going forward. A number of specific issues and potential activity subgroups were identified (see below). The purpose of the meeting on January 23 is to continue this discussion and create specific organizational subgroups that have action items and goals.

Both the CAC and CAB meetings are open meetings. Much of the CAC meeting will focus on a report from a Northeastern University study team on the heat island effect of extreme summer ambient temperatures in the Town of Brookline.
