Postponement: Net Zero Implementations in Massachusetts Towns/Cities
Monday, 01 May 2017,  7:00 pm -  9:00 pm

This event, originally scheduled for May 1, has been postponed to a date later in the year yet to be determined.

The event was conceived in January as a follow-up event to one of the Local Action event that took place during Climate Week (last week of March). It was intended to provide a more focused and lengthy discussion of Net Zero programs (beyond the time available during Climate Week itself), not only from the perspective of municipal buildings but to all buildings town wide. Since the days of early planning for Climate Week, a couple of Brookline Town Meeting Warrant Articles have developed which will be voted on during the third week of May. Not only have these efforts consumed a lot of time of the organizers of the May 1 event, but at least one of these Articles in Brookline has direct bearing on Net Zero. The proceedings of other Town Meeting in other towns have also have bearing on Net Zero development.

The May 1st Net Zero event will be rescheduled so as to allow the events just mentioned, as well as others, to proceed so that the results of such developments can become a part of and thereby enrich the discussion of the concept of Net Zero and its implementation in Massachusetts. The date of rescheduling will be posted on this site when it has been decided.
